Discover the advantages of Fenix kitchens: strength, easy maintenance and innovative design. The perfect choice for modern, functional spaces.
When seeking the perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality, a Fenix kitchen can be the ideal solution. Fenix is a hi-tech, cutting-edge material with unique characteristics and, if treated appropriately, ensures great durability.
Perfect for manufacturing kitchen worktops and doors, it is undeniably one of the most interesting options when choosing the best materials for your kitchen.
Hygienic, versatile, resistant and durable, Fenix is a next-generation, heat-set HPL laminate that stands out for its special soft-touch, matt, fingerprint-resistant surfaces. However, the true novelty of Fenix comes from the use of exclusive nanotechnologies, which give its surface very limited porosity and ability to repair when heat is applied in the event of superficial scratches and abrasions.
Fenix panels consist of layers of cellulose, the inner sheets of which are impregnated with heat-set resins, while the outer layers are treated with acrylic resins. The assembly is then subjected to heat and pressure, and thanks to the use of nanotechnologies that modify its molecular structure, results in an even high-density product.
Fenix was recently classified into two types:
The special technical and aesthetic characteristics of Fenix make it one of the most suitable materials for kitchen surfaces.
Let’s take a closer look at its advantages.
Thanks to its characteristics, Fenix is now extensively used in interior design and kitchens. Available in various thicknesses, this material is suitable for the manufacture of worktops and doors.
Gentili Cucine offers the following colours for Fenix NTM® to be used for combined and laminated kitchen tops and matching lacquered doors:
Combined Fenix kitchen tops are also available with the Fenix NTA® Acciaio Hamilton steel finish, while laminated Fenix doors combined with an aluminium frame are only available in the colour Bianco Kos.
The nanotechnologies used to manufacture Fenix make cleaning and routine maintenance extremely easy. Thanks to its very limited superficial porosity and resistance to the absorption of liquids and oils, it is sufficient to use a cloth wetted with warm water and a ordinary household cleaning product, if necessary. For particularly stubborn marks, a melamine foam sponge can be used on the dry surface.
Abrasive chemicals and sponges or metal scouring pads are to be avoided, as they could damage the Fenix surface.
Fenix has been carbon neutral-certified since December 2021. It has also obtained Greenguard Gold certification, attesting that no harmful volatile substances (VOC or volatile organic compounds) are released during its processing. The use of natural raw materials (cellulose and resins) and the hi-tech production process ensure considerable savings in CO2 emissions.
A Fenix kitchen is a style choice destined to withstand the test of time. The matt, soft-touch and fingerprint-proof surface, vast colour range and high resistance to scratches, abrasions, heat and liquids, together with its antibacterial and anti-mould properties make Fenix one of the most ideal materials for use in the kitchen. To this we can add its exclusive heat repairability for removing minor scratches. Ideal for contemporary style kitchens, Fenix can also be combined with other materials, to afford great design freedom.
Lastly, Fenix is a highly technological, very environmentally-friendly material.
Gentili Cucine offers as many as thirteen colours for Fenix doors and worktops, as well as the Fenix NTA® Acciaio Hamilton steel finish, all on a Just In Time basis.
